Barry Hasten has the necessary experience to aggressively and efficiently handle a wide range of litigation matters. He has developed a reputation throughout Texas as an expert in handling large complex fire losses including wildfires.
Personal Information
I was born in Princeton, New Jersey, but ended up in the Dallas–Fort Worth area as a teenager and never left. I graduated from Trinity High School in Euless then moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas where I received my BBA. I earned my Juris Doctor in 2003 from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, currently known as Texas A&M University School of Law. I met my husband in law school, and we reside in Arlington, Texas with our two school aged children.
While attending law school, I was fortunate enough to work for Hasten & Hansen. It was while working here that I gained the knowledge in all subrogation matters. Upon graduation, I became an associate attorney and have represented insurance carriers ever since. I have handled property damage cases due to negligence, products liability and construction defects. I have also handled automobile and vehicle cases including personal injury matters.
I have participated in classroom instruction for the expert certification course for the International Association of Arson Investigations which requires classroom teaching on all phases of expert and trial testimony.
Personal Interests
I love to spend quality time with my family and friends whether it’s travelling afar or spending time near home. I like to be active with my family, and enjoy supporting my children’s school and extra-circular activities.

Attorney at Law
“I am a little bit old fashioned. I like to develop a personal relationship with my clients if possible. Not returning telephone calls, emails and keeping the client informed is the biggest complaint I hear about lawyers. That will not happen in my office…ever”.
